Last Sunday the club held the 2008 Men's and Women's Epee and the junior foil. The Men's epee was won by Tony Klenczar who beat Granville Ward in the final. Last years champion beat Hannah Lawrence to win the third place.
The women's epee was won by Alice Lawrence who beat Pep Morgan in the final, Claire Durham beat Keren Williams to take third place.
The junior foil was split into intermediates and beginners Adam Edwards beat Alex Marsh in the intermediate final with Nathaniel Marsh and Tom Woods finishing third. The beginners foil was won by Amy Drew, Amy beat Rory Charlesworth in the final, Joseph Boston and Connor Hicks were joint third, Domonic Ford finished fourth.
We have also just finished the third season of leagues. The Spring season this year has been the most successful so far with twenty fencers taking part in two divisions. Division one was won by Tony klenczar with granville ward finishing a very close second. Alice Lawrence and James Burton were relegated to division two. Division Two was won by Alex Marsh with jacob Coe in second place both will be promoted to division one for the Autumn season.
